FARMERS MARKET HOURS!

For the month of May, our Farmers' Market will be outdoors when weather permits, and indoors in the Studio during inclement weather! Starting June 7th, we will be outdoors rain or shine! Join us every Thursday for the freshest products Connecticut has to offer! Plenty of produce, eggs, cheese, grass-fed meat, baked goods, and lunch options.

Hours: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
November - April

Billings Forge Awarded Neighborhood Builders Grant from Bank of America

Billings Forge Community Works was just acknowledged as a recipient of one of this year's Neighborhood Builders Grants presented by Bank of America.
Two outstanding nonprofit/charitable organizations in 45 markets benefit from the Neighborhood Builders Program. Since its inception in 2004, Neighborhood Builders has helped nearly 600 nonprofits across the U.S. and in London with operating support and rigorous leadership training.
Neighborhood Builders recipients:

  • are focused on local neighborhood priorities
  • receive $200,00 in general operating support (or local market currency equivalent) - $100,000 annually for 2 years

They also benefit from specially designed leadership development programs:

  • senior executives gather for two 4-day workshop on topics that include: strategic thinking; business planning in tough economic times; leadership development and succession planning; long-term business growth; and building a diverse funding base
  • emerging leaders gather for three 4-day workshops on topics that include: developing organizational management skills; managing strategic opportunities; forging alliances; and building communities

Local nonprofit organizations are a critical component of creating healthy, safe and economically-viable communities. We are grateful to Bank of America for this award and for the opportunity it provides our organization.
